Home Sweet Home

Hey all! I'm back. It's been a week since my last post. Oh how I miss Bekasi, and my bed for sure. So I went to Turus Village in Klaten, Central Java. This village has a magnificent view, we could see rice fields everywhere! So I guess I'll start my story day to day.

Day 1 : Train

So we went there by economic class train, it took 11-12 hours. And it was a hell... The seat is so uncomfortable, and dirty, and the train went so slow it could killed me! I was sit next to Icha and Wina, and in front of us there were Claudia, Vera and Olive.

Day 2 : Arrivals

We arrived at 10 0'clock. Then the teacher show us the house that we're going to spend the night in. Me, Icha, and Asti stayed at Mr.Dadi's house. The photo above was actually took on the last day. Mrs. Dadi is such a nice person! Although she can't speak Indonesian very well.

Day 3 -4 : Work Work Work!

In day 3 and 4, every mornign we did some community service, we cleaned the street near Masjid then we spent the whole afternoon in the house, did some chores such as washing the dishes and washing clothes. Or we just layed around in the living room and watched Tv. Mr and Mrs. Dadi have 5 sons. The youngest one is still living in Mr. Dadi's house. Usually, at 4 p.m we go to rice fields just to play around or take photos (I will upload it later). The people in Turus are unbelievebly nice and friendly, you will miss it so much. They're so caring and polite.

Day 5 : Trip to Jogja

In day 5, we spent the day to travell to Jogjakarta and Depok Beach. First stop is Depok Beach. The beach itself is dirty, and too dangerous to swim. So we just played ATV there. After that, we went to Keraton, just took some photos then left. And last stop is... Malioboro! Shopping time! I bought a pair of blue flip flops. It was so fun and tired at same time. At 7 p.m we left Malioboro and headed home in Turus Village.

Day 6 : Leaving

The last day on Klaten... It was so sad. Mrs. Dadi has been a really nice person, and she seems lonely, it was hard to leave her alone. I spent the last day in the house, and at 3 p.m we left Turus. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Thanks for giving me such an oppurtinity!
