Planning a vacation

A few days ago I read a tweet about how planning a vacation makes you happier than going on an actual vacation. I personally think that it's kinda true because I feel it myself. When I was still in Jogja, before this semester breaks, I spent my afternoon surfed through travel blogs and webs and then looked for an airplane tickets to some countries that I want to visit one day. I even checked their hostel and accommodation, city tour, how to get to the interesting places, and made an itinerary. I know I couldn't have a vacation this semester breaks, but I just enjoyed planning it. I feel happy just by imagining how it feels to go places I've never been. I really have a passion in traveling. I like imagining myself experiences new environment, new people, new strange foods and activities.

There are several places that I really want to visit one day. On top of my list is probably Athens? I always have this weird attraction to Greek myth, to the gods and goddess of Greek. It's just fascinating. That's why I love Percy Jackson, beside the lead male *ahem* of course. The scenery is just breathtaking and pretty. Having lunch in a seashore restaurant with a view of Mediterranean sea... That's how I vision my stay there. On the second of my list is Seoul, South Korea. I want to see the city that I heard is beautiful. I want to stroll through busy street in Hongdae and try their street food. I watched too many Korean Drama already and I want to see them myself. And I heard korean really love to chill in cafe so there are lots of cute cafes. The third one is Italy. I'm dying to visit Italy ever since I watched a Letter to Juliet. The scenery is just so romantic and beautiful I want to cry. Their village is so amazingly pretty with bricks building everywhere and narrow alley and me, as a hopeless romantic, just can't handle it. I want to try making wine and stroll through the vineyard. I simply fall in love with Italy. Those are the top 3 of places abroad that I want to visit one day.

I also acknowledge that Indonesia has interesting and beautiful places that worth visits. Maybe Bali is the most popular among tourist but it's too mainstream. So I really want to go to Wakatobi, I heard that the underwater scenery is to die for. And then Raja Ampat, it's so breathtakingly pretty and amazing and... I don't know how to describe it. I love beaches and Indonesia offers you beautiful beaches here and there, since we have thousands of islands. One day, I'll make sure to visit this places that I mention here. I believe with the saying that 'If you really want something so badly, you will find a way and you can get it' this has been my motivation ever since. Have fun planning your vacation!
